Most of our work tends to be bespoke — the wide range of materials and applications in the IR, UV and visible regions of the spectrum means standard catalog items rarely meet every requirement. We design and manufacture to your drawing, or reverse-engineer from a sample or a competitor catalog reference number.

Optical Windows
Plane-parallel and wedged windows, from 5 mm to 300 mm diameter (fused silica), for laser systems, detector protection, vacuum viewports and FTIR cuvettes. AR coatings on any wavelength from 193 nm to 25 µm. Parallelism to 10 arc sec. Flatness to N = 0.5. Germanium windows with AR/DLC coating for outdoor thermal imaging and UAV systems.
Optical Lenses
Plano-convex, bi-convex, plano-concave, meniscus, cylindrical, achromatic doublets, aspheric, ball lenses, hemispheres and hyper-hemispheres. Diameter 1–100 mm, focal length 4–1000 mm. Equivalents of Edmund Optics, Thorlabs, Laser Components catalog items. HRFZ-Si hemispheres for THz detector arrays.
FTIR Beamsplitters and Cuvette Windows
Complete FTIR consumables program: KBr, ZnSe, CaF₂, BaF₂, Si beamsplitter/compensator pairs; cuvette windows in KBr, NaCl, KCl, ZnSe, BaF₂, CaF₂, Ge in all standard sizes compatible with Thermo Fisher (Nicolet), PerkinElmer, Agilent, Shimadzu and Pike instruments. Moisture-protective polymer coating available for KBr and NaCl optics.
Prisms
Right-angle, Porro, Penta, Dove, corner-cube retroreflectors, equilateral dispersion prisms, ATR/MNATR elements. From K8 and fused silica (UV/VIS) to CaF₂, Ge and ZnSe (IR). Angular accuracy to 10 arc seconds.
Mirrors
Metallic (Al, Ag, Au, Cu) and dielectric (HR >99.5%). Al+MgF₂ UV mirrors for spectrometers and telescopes. Si+Au mirrors for CO₂ laser beam delivery. Gold-coated broadband IR mirrors 1–25 µm. Scanning mirrors.
Vacuum Viewport Windows
Fused silica and sapphire viewport windows for vacuum chambers: PVD/CVD systems, electron microscopes, accelerator diagnostics, plasma chambers. Custom dimensions. AR coatings and pressure calculations available.
Applications: Where Alkor Optics Work
FTIR and IR Spectroscopy — cuvette windows, ATR elements, beamsplitter pairs and condenser lenses for mid-IR spectroscopy. Replacement consumables for all major FTIR platforms. IR windows are widely used in FTIR spectroscopy where absorption of the infrared spectrum range is required.
Thermal Imaging (LWIR 8–14 µm) — germanium lenses and windows with AR 8–12 µm coating. DLC-coated front windows for UAVs, maritime systems and outdoor thermal cameras. Serial production of thousands of lenses per month for thermal module manufacturers.
Laser Systems — protection windows and focusing lenses for fiber lasers (1064 nm), Nd:YAG, excimer lasers (193, 248, 308 nm), CO₂ lasers (10.6 µm). Fused silica KU-1 with AR/AR <0.2% residual reflection for high-power systems up to 15 kW.
Gas Analyzers and NDIR Sensors — Si and CaF₂ lenses for optical gas analysis channels: CO₂ (4.26 µm), CH₄ (3.33 µm), CO (4.67 µm). ZnSe windows for broadband IR sensor cells.
LiDAR and Rangefinders — fused silica and K8 lenses with AR at 905 nm, 1064 nm, 1550 nm. Sapphire protection windows for outdoor LiDAR sensors.
THz Systems — HRFZ-Si hemispheres and hyper-hemispheres for THz detectors and antennas. TPX and Si lenses for THz time-domain spectroscopy.
UV Spectroscopy and Fluorescence Microscopy — zero-fluorescence fused silica KU-1/JGS-1 lenses and windows for HPLC UV detectors (220, 254, 280 nm), fluorescence microscopes with DAPI excitation (360 nm), and excimer laser optics.
Pyrometers and Temperature Measurement — CaF₂ and Si lenses for MWIR pyrometers in metallurgy, glass production and foundries. Ge lenses for LWIR pyrometers.
